Solutions

Four places the cold chain breaks.

The failure is rarely the freezer itself. It is the handoff, the overnight gap, and the hour nobody was watching.

01 · Transport

Refrigerated transport

Set-point deviation, door events and power interruption logged for the whole run. A load that arrives warm has a timeline attached showing when it happened and how long it lasted — which is the difference between a claim you can settle and an argument you cannot.

02 · Storage

Cold storage and warehousing

Multi-zone coverage for walk-ins, freezers and controlled-ambient areas. Monitoring points placed where a temperature mapping exercise showed the warmest and coldest corners, not where the cabling was easiest.

03 · Food service

Restaurants and food service

Reach-ins, prep fridges and walk-ins on one view, with overnight alerting. Most spoilage discovered at opening began at some point the night before, and the recorded history says exactly when.

04 · Pharma

Pharmaceutical distribution

Continuous monitoring against mapped storage profiles, with excursion records and documented response — the evidence a Good Distribution Practice programme is expected to produce on request.

What a deployment involves

Step one

Map the zones

Identify what is stored where, the limits that apply, and the points most likely to drift first.

Step two

Place the sensors

Wireless sensors at the mapped points, reporting to a gateway. No cabling through cold rooms.

Step three

Set thresholds and routing

Alert limits per zone, and a decision about who is woken up at 2 a.m. and by what method.
